There are no active cases of COVID-19 on the Big Island, Hawaii County Civil Defense said this morning.
The state Department of Health says since the first case was reported on Hawaii Island on March 16, there have been 75 cases.
All have been cleared by DOH as recovered, Civil Defense said.
One case required hospitalization, and none of the 17 reported coronavirus-related deaths in Hawaii have been on the Big Island.
“These numbers today reinforces the importance of and success of following the policies of distancing, gatherings, cleanliness, face coverings, staying home if sick, and keeping yourself physically and emotionally healthy,” Mayor Harry Kim said in a morning radio message.
